GALLUS BLEU
about this artwork
GALLUS BLUE proudly sets its silhouette of Gaulish cock, shaped by a multitude of fine metal slats with deep and changing reflections.
Under the light, its steel plumage is adorned with blue, black and iridescent shades, giving the metal an amazing feeling of movement.
PACOM here transforms raw material into a living, proud and almost majestic presence.
Solidly camped on its natural wood support, the cock seems to unite the strength of the metal with the authenticity of the plant material.
An iconic sculpture where elegance and character meet in the same radiance.
about this artist
PACOM is a contemporary French sculptor.
Self-taught and passionate about creation, he develops a universe where matter occupies a central place.
He mainly works metal, which he combines with wood, stone, concrete or paint. Very attached to recovery, he gives a new life to abandoned materials and objects, which constitute a large part of his creations. His work alternates between figurative sculptures and more abstract compositions, exploring notably the animal world, the human figure and imaginary universes.
Each work is designed as a unique piece, original and unreproduced, bearing the personality and sensitivity of the artist. Cut, soldering, grinding, assemblage, oxidation and material effects fully participate in its artistic language.
Under his hands, the robustness of the metal fades gradually to reveal movement, expression and sometimes surprising lightness.
The artist sees each of his sculptures as a new challenge, both artistic and technical, guided by great freedom of creation.
His singular universe thus transforms raw material into expressive works, where strength, imagination and emotion meet.
